Summer 2009 Workshops
Workshops will start the the week of June 7th and run for 8 weeks, 2 hours per week. These free workshops are open to the populations described below. Writing journals, pens, snacks and all materials are provided. Ask about transportation and childcare when you register.
Please note:
- Pre-registration is required, and it must be done by phone (NOT by email) - 503.796.9224.
- Workshops fill up quickly, so register early.
- If you are not able to call us during normal business hours, please leave a voicemail message and we will call you back to confirm your registration.
- Priority registration will be given to people who have not previously participated in a Write Around Portland workshop.

Portland OIC Rosemary Anderson High School - at risk youth
Housing Authority of Portland (HAP) Sellwood Center - open to HAP tenants and other adults living on a low income and/or with a disability. Priority given to HAP tenants.
Housing Authority of Portland (HAP) Ruth Haefner Plaza - open to HAP tenants and other adults living on a low income and/or with a disability. Priority given to HAP tenants.
HIV Day Center - open to adults living with HIV/AIDS
Self-Determination Resources Inc -open to adults with developmental disabilities
Independent Living Resources - open to adults living with traumatic brain injuries
Sequoia Community Mental Health - open to adults living with mental illness
Write Around Portland "open" group - open to adults living on a low income and/or with a disability
Quest Center for Integrative Health - open to women survivors of breast cancer
Timber Lake Job Corps - students earning their GEDs
