Join us Saturday, May 5, 2012 for a free two-hour creative writing workshop

 

  • All workshops will be held 10am - Noon. Locations listed below.
  • Journals, pens and light snacks provided.
  • Facilitators will lead participants through writing prompts and exercises. No experience necessary.
  • Adults welcome at all locations.
  • Youth welcome at workshop #3 (grade 4 or higher).
  • Workshops #1-3 will be held in English, and workshop #4 will be held in Spanish. [Los tallares 1-3 se presentarán en inglés. El taller 4 se presentará en español.]
  • Location #2 will include one workshop facilitated in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Workshops are ADA-accessible. Call 503.796.9224 if you need specific accommodations.


    Pre-registration is required. PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 4:30PM ON FRIDAY, MAY 4!

1. Eastminster Presbyterian Church

12505 NE Halsey St, next to Bi-Mart, TriMet #77 bus line [MAP]


2. Mercy Corps Action Center

45 SW Ankeny St, near Saturday Market, MAX Red & Blue lines—Skidmore Fountain Station. This location includes one workshop facilitated in American Sign Language (ASL). [MAP]

3. Oregon Jewish Museum

1953 NW Kearney St, 2 blocks from the 18th and Lovejoy Streetcar stop. This location includes workshops for adults and also for youth, grade 4 or higher. [MAP]

4. Teatro Milagro/Miracle Theatre

Taller ofrecido sólo en español (this workshop held in Spanish only).

Juntese con Write Around Portland para un taller de escritura creativa gratis el Sábado, 5 de mayo. Se estarán disponibles cuadernos, plumas y meriendas para los participantes. Pueden venir adultos.
