8-week Summer Writing Workshops

These workshops are free. Writing journals, pens, materials and snacks provided. Call us about bus tickets and childcare. Pre-registration is required by phone or at our office (not by email), and groups fill up quickly. You can find information about our fall workshops at the bottom of this page.

Please note:
- Priority registration for all workshops is given to new participants and to those who have participated in only one previous Write Around Portland workshop.
- In some cases, priority is given to workshop location residents or those affiliated with a specific organization hosting the workshop.
- We will be holding a special workshop for people who have participated in 2 or more workshops starting in September. We will announce the details about that workshop later in the summer.

Fall 2008 Workshops
Fall workshops begin in September and run for 10 weeks. We will be holding fall workshops for burn survivors, adults living with mental illness, veterans, people affected by HIV/AIDS, returning writers and many others. We will announce the dates, times and locations of those workshops later in the summer.
