Krystle May Statler (she/her) is a Black-multiracial woman, interdisciplinary poet, artist, and designer whose work centers memory, mourning, and meaning-making. Through poetry, book arts, and collaborative design, she explores how storytelling dignifies, amplifies, and honors what is often overlooked or unspoken. She believes writing is a sacred practice of community care that nourishes pathways to belonging, bearing witness, and our inherent humanity. Krystle has been a facilitator with Write Around Portland since 2025.
