Mark your calendars! Write Around Portland’s next anthology goes into production in early November and we will need your help.
Twice a year we produce an anthology of work written by participants in our community creative writing groups. These books are created through the hard work of our staff and volunteers with little outside help.
Production of each anthology begins after participants submit up to three pieces of writing that are then read by our volunteer Selection Committee. The members of the Selection Committee carefully read each piece and then choose one from each participant for inclusion in the anthology. Participating in Selection Committee is a great way to get your feet wet with volunteering at Write Around Portland and learn more about the communities that we work with. Bonus: It’s also a fun way to meet new people!
