If you have been curious about becoming a Write Around Portland volunteer facilitator, a Write Along is a great place to begin.
Write Alongs invite prospective volunteers to sit in on a community writing group, write alongside participants, and get a feel for the rhythm of a session. You’ll see how prompts are offered, how sharing is welcomed, and how a group can become a respectful, creative space.
Think of it as a small window into the Write Around Portland world. Afterward, you’ll have time to ask questions and learn more before the application period closes at the end of November for our winter volunteer facilitator training, which begins in January.
Write Along sessions will be held during the end of October and early November. To sign up, fill out the Write Along Request Form to schedule the session that works best for you. Spaces are limited.
