Write Around Portland is excited to partner with Menucha Retreat and Conference Center to offer a new creative writing retreat in one of the Pacific Northwest’s most peaceful and inspiring settings.
This retreat is open to everyone and no writing experience is needed. Just bring your desire to write, whether it’s to tell your story, capture the beauty around you, or process what’s on your mind.
Led by Write Around Portland facilitator Sandy Naing, this retreat will offer a supportive, community-based space to:
- Tap into your creativity,
- Start or deepen your writing practice,
- Write freely without judgment,
- Give and receive strengths-based feedback (sharing is always optional).
You’ll also have time to enjoy Menucha’s stunning surroundings and take a quiet walk, go on a short hike, or sit and reflect while overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. With moss-draped trees, birdsong, and sweeping views, it’s the perfect place to recharge.
Participants will stay at Menucha in your choice of a private room, or a shared room (shared by 2 people). You’ll enjoy our delicious home-cooked meals from dinner Tuesday through breakfast on Friday (8 meals).
Visit menucha.org/programs/writing-retreat, if you’re ready to register for this restorative experience. Have questions? Email us at info@writearound.org and we’ll be happy to help!
